Obituary for Adela Torres

Adela Torres, 72, of Fostoria, passed away on Monday, March 5, 2018 at her residence in Poplar Ridge Apartments in Fostoria. Adela was born on April 10, 1945 in Mexico and later became a US citizen.
She was survived by her mother Rebeca, her sister Victoria, her two brothers Victor and Juan all in Mexico. She had eleven children and was survived by seven of them. She was a great mother and a super grandmother to her grandchildren. Family is Norma Barcenas, Marta Mesa, Alice Torres-Jorge Irazaba, Carlos Ceballos-Jade Garza, Lirio Escobar-Rogelio Guerra, Liliana Ceballos-Juan Camargo, and Linda Gutierrez-Chris Morel. Also from her late daughter Maria, grandkids Rudy Coronado and Sammy Torres are the oldest of many other grandkids with several great-grandkids that followed.
She worked as a Restaurant cook most of her life. She loved to sing, dance, was an excellent cook, a hard worker and a very caring person. Our butterfly is roaming free of sorrow.
There will be a Memorial Service at Good Shepherd Home Friday, March 9th at 3pm and following will be a light dinner until 6pm for family and close friends. Rev. Jerry Copeland will officiate along with Sister Elizabeth Marie Garcia, SND of St. Wendelin Catholic Church. Please send any sentiments c/o Linda Gutierrez at GSH. Thanks to all of the staff at GSH for giving our mother a great loving place to live, to all her neighbors at Poplar Ridge for being so kind and anyone who knew our mom we are glad that you were part of her life.
