Obituary

Robert E. Kaiser, 85, of Point Place, passed away Tuesday, June 27, 2017 at Ebeid Hospice in Sylvania. He was born on September 14, 1931 to Russell and Gladys (Snare) Kaiser.

 

Bob proudly served in the United States Army during the Korean War. He went on to work for Dura Corp. for 30 years. He was a lifetime member of the RiverView Yacht Club and UAW Local 14. Bob loved fishing, boating, playing pool, and cards. He enjoyed outdoor things like turtle trapping, frog hunting, mushroom hunting, and camping.

 

Bob is survived by his sons, Robert (Dawn) Kaiser and Jeffrey (Kathleen) Kaiser; sister, Lola (Bernie) Lenhart; sisters-in-law, Alberta (Leroy) Kimling and Joy (Al) Borsos; grandchildren, David, Robert, Brian (Rochelle), Jeffrey, and Katelyn Kaiser; great-grandchildren, Sierah, Cody, and Vance Kaiser, many nieces and nephews; and faithful companion, "Izzy". He was preceded in death by his parents;wife, Sharon; infant son, Stephen; son, Kevin; and grandson, James.

 

Visitation will be held on Friday, June 30, 2017  from 2 until 8pm at the David R. Jasin-Hoening Funeral Home, 5300 N. Summit St., Toledo, OH 43611. Funeral services will begin on Saturday, July 1, 2017 at 10:30am in the funeral home with Bob's grandson, Brian Kaiser, officiating. Interment will follow at Toledo Memorial Park.

 

Memorial contributions may be considered to Ebeid Hospice.

So sorry for your loss. I spent many hours shooting pool and playing euchre with Bob and Sharon and he was a great friend.Please accept my deepest condolences. May he rest in peace.

Thoughts and prayers for your family. Bob is reunited with Sharon after all these years. And probably having a beer with my dad, Leroy. Rest in peace, Uncle Bob.
