Obituary for Clinton Wheeler

Clinton Wheeler, 72, of Tiffin, passed away peacefully Tuesday, Sept. 18, 2018, with his family by his side at his home.
He was born Oct. 6, 1945, in Blue Moon, Kentucky, to Horace and Elizabeth (Hall) Wheeler. He married Mary Augsburger Oct. 19, 1964, in Tiffin, and she precedes him in death.
Surviving Clinton are his five children, Clinton "Shane" (Lori Ritter) Wheeler of Tiffin, Clayton "Shannon" (Shannon) Wheeler of McCutchenville, Cory (Dolly) Wheeler of Tiffin, Chad (Margaret) Wheeler of Sycamore and Christine (Matthew) Hampshire of Tiffin; numerous grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; one sister, Nannie Rollins of Port Clinton; and his best friend since the age of seven, Duane Robinson of Tiffin.
He was also preceded in death by his parents; a daughter, Cristal Shea; and numerous brothers and sisters.
Clinton was a U.S. Army Veteran, for which we are a grateful nation. He was a welder by trade and his favorite pastimes included fishing, hunting and trapping. He was a family man - very spiritual and religious - who loved to be with his children and grandchildren.
A special thank you is extended to his granddaughter and grandson, Tess and Cody Hampshire, and friend, Marsha Crump, for their constant care and compassion.
There will be no services.
Memorial contributions may be made to Izaak Walton League of America Inc., Tiffin Seneca County Chapter, or the Wildlife Conservation Fund.
Mann-Hare-Hoening Funeral Home, Fostoria, has been entrusted with arrangements.
