Delores J. Cousin, 80, of Fostoria, passed away at her home on Wednesday, April 17, 2019.
She was born on May 7, 1938 in Lima, Ohio to Columbus and Dorothy (Morse) White. She married Arthur Cousin on February 25, 1959, and he preceded her in death on July 7, 2016.
Delores is survived by five children, Arthur “Darnell” (Kim) Cousin, of Fostoria, Brenda Branch, Kelly Cousin, and Bobbie Johnson all of Toledo, and Davon Cousin, of Fostoria; 13 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren; and two brothers, Dennis White, of Lima, and Stanley White, of Minneapolis, MN.
She was also preceded in death by her parents, one son, Robert Cousin, one sister, Geri White, and two brothers, Timmy and Larry White. Her sister, Cynthia White joined her in Heaven on Sunday, April 21, 2019.
Delores had a “gift from God” for bringing comfort and support to others. While Delores was a strong woman, she mothered everyone with a caring and nurturing heart and spirit. She was always very active and sociable; she enjoyed playing cards, bingo, crocheting and shopping. She was also an artist and enjoyed drawing.
Delores and husband Arthur were two of the original members of the “Fostoria City Schools Grandparents Organization.” Very proud of her family, she was especially proud of her “grandbabies” and loved attending their sporting events.
She was a former Department Store Manager for the, then, Fishers Big Wheel. She attended both Faith AME Church and Bethel Baptist Church, in Fostoria.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, April, 25, 2019, from 10 a.m. until noon at Mann-Hare-Hoening Funeral Home, 407 N. Countyline St., Fostoria. Funeral services will begin in the funeral home at noon with Pastor Jerry Copeland and Rev. Michael Burton, presiding. Burial will follow in Fountain Cemetery, Fostoria.
