Obituary for Nathan J. "Nate" Heckathorn II

Nathan J. “Nate” Heckathorn II, 44, of Fostoria, passed away at 10:45 pm Thursday October 4, 2018 at his home.

He was born September 13, 1974 in Fostoria to Nathan and Kim (Pethe) Heckathorn, and they survive in Kansas, Ohio. He married Olivia Ann Rosales June 16, 2014 in Bowling Green, and she survives in Fostoria.

Also surviving are four children, Emilia Hernandez, Luis Hernandez, Bella Heckathorn and Nathan Heckathorn III, all residing at home; a sister, Amber (Thomas) Heckathorn-Matz, Fostoria; paternal grandmother, Mary Heckathorn, Fostoria; along with nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by grandparents, Paul Heckathorn, Arthur and Rickie Pethe.

Nate was a 1995 graduate of Lakota High School. He graduated from Terra State Community College earning an associate’s degree in Industrial Power and Control. He had worked at Principle Business Enterprises, Bowling Green and Jac & Do’s Pizza, Fostoria.

Nate enjoyed gardening, cooking, fishing, poker runs, the outdoors and loved being with his family and teaching his children.

Funeral Mass will be Friday October 19, 2018 at 11:00 am in St. Aloysius Catholic Church 150 S. Enterprise Street, Bowling Green, OH 43402 with Fr. Mark Davis officiating.

Memorials are suggested to Ohio Living Home Health and Hospice c/o Hoening Funeral Home 242 W. Tiffin St., Fostoria, OH 44830.
