Obituary for Sean A. Farison

Sean A. Farison, 56, of Toledo, Ohio passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, May 8, 2019.

He was born in Napoleon, Ohio on September 17, 1962 to William E. and C. Marie Farison (Brothers). He attended grade school at St. Augustine Catholic School and graduated from Napoleon High School. He was currently working construction for TDavis Contractors in Toledo.

Sean is survived by his brothers three, Bill Farison of Santa Rosa, California; Patrick Farison of Everett, Washington and Kevin Farison of Kettering, Ohio. He is also survived by his former wife, Carla Hostettler, of Dublin, Ohio and sons, Glenn D. Farison of Dublin, Ohio and Quinten A. Murphy of Findlay, Ohio along with nieces, Sarah Farison and Samantha Weston, both of Everett, Washington as well as many aunts, uncles and cousins in both Ohio and Canada. His parents Bill and Marie preceded him in death in 1997.

Sean’s proudest moments were the birth of his sons, Glenn and Quinten, and being a member of Napoleon’s 1981 State High School Basketball Championship team. He enjoyed watching NBA basketball, Ohio State Football, shooting pool, boating and connecting with friends. Throughout his life, Sean made friends easily & effortlessly. He never met a stranger and his charm and charisma were immeasurable. He rarely had a negative word to say of anyone or they of him.

Early in life, Sean’s friends were as close as family. Those same friends could be found in and out of his family home, much to the enjoyment and angst of his mother.

Sean was always quick with a kind word and a big smile. His sense of humor, love of life and laugh were all infectious. Sean could always be counted on to entertain friends and family with impersonations of other family members.

He will always be remembered as a kind-hearted and fun-loving son, brother, father, uncle, cousin, friend, classmate and colleague. Sean was loved and will be missed by many.

Visitation for Sean will be held on Friday May 17th, 2019 from 6pm to 7:30pm followed by a memorial service at 7:30pm at Walker-Hoening Mortuary, 333 West Main St. in Napoleon.

Suggested memorials are to Racing for Recovery of Lucas County (racingforrecovery.org)

“God of hope, we come to you in shock and grief and confusion of heart. Help us to find peace in the knowledge of your loving mercy to all your children, and give us light to guide us out of our darkness into the assurance of your love, in Jesus Christ our Lord, Amen.”
