Thomas P. Wojnowski, 81, of Point Place, passed away on Thursday, November 16, 2017 at Ebeid Hospice in Sylvania. He was born on March 25, 1936 to Leo and Mary (Makowiak) Wojnowski.
Tom was a Teamster member before retiring after 30 years. He then worked at University of Toledo in the Facilities Department for 10 years. Tom enjoyed fishing, hunting, and gardening and was an avid Steelers fan. He also enjoyed camping in the Upper Peninsula, spending time in Florida, and watching his kids play sports.
Tom is survived by his children, Thomas (Michelle) Wojnowski, Teresa Scherer, and Timothy (Patricia) Wojnowski; grandchildren, Chasity, Crystal, Megan (Joe), Brian, Laura (Clint), Bradley (Samantha), Steven, Ashley, Courtney, and Nicholas; great-grandchildren, Ava, Evelyn, and Cora; and brother-in-law, Richard Cornwell. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Suzanne; and son-in-law, Mark Scherer.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 21, 2017 from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the David R. Jasin-Hoening Funeral Home, 5300 N. Summit St., Toledo, OH 43611 where a scripture service will also be held at 7:30 p.m. Visitation will continue on Wednesday, November 22, 2017 from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 5153 N. Summit St., Toledo, OH 43611 with the Mass of Christian Burial beginning at 11 a.m. Entombment will follow at Toledo Memorial Park.
