Obituary for Margaret M. Haaser

Margaret M. "Marge" Haaser, 98 of Fostoria, passed away on Friday, July 20, 2018 at Independence House in Fostoria, where she resided for the past four years.
She was born January 27, 1920 in Bascom to the late Amandus and Cora (Schalk) Hohman. She married Donald U. Haaser on February 22, 1941 at St. Patrick Catholic Church in Bascom and he preceded her in death October 8, 1995.
Surviving, and cherishing her memory, are her five children, Diane (Tom) Dee of Ocean View, Delaware, Steve (Sandy) Haaser of Fostoria, Dan (Rose) Haaser of Lambertville, MI, Ernie (Kathy) Haaser of Holland, Ohio, and Len (Becky) Haaser of Fostoria; nine grandchildren, Ken Mischou, Don Mischou, Melanie (Mike) Rybka, Kristi Haaser, Mark Haaser, Amy (Kevin) Dumas, Stephanie (Shane) Engels, Andrea (Aaron) Massari and Jon Haaser; one step-grandson, Chris (Amy) Musson; 17 great-grandchildren; and two step-great-grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by eight siblings, Cletus Hohman, Marion Hohman, Esther Amlin, Vincent Hohman, Emma Hohman, Anna Wyborski, Henry Hohman and Robert Hohman; and two grandsons, Ryan Haaser and Jeffrey Mischou.
Margaret was a member of St. Wendelin Catholic Church and its Rosary Altar Society. She was also a member of the 55 Plus Club, the CL of C, the Women’s Club and the Fostoria Senior Center, as well as various euchre and pinochle groups.
Visitation is Thursday, July 26, 2018 from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. at HOENING & SON FUNERAL HOME, 133 W. Tiffin St., Fostoria, where a wake service will take place at 3:45 p.m.
Mass of Christian Burial is 10:30 a.m. on Friday, July 27, 2018 at St. Wendelin Catholic Church with Rev. Todd Dominique presiding. Burial will take place at St. Wendelin Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Wendlin Parish and School or Bridge Hospice, Findlay.
